We couldn’t have asked for a better experience fly fishing with Crested Butte Angler. We booked three trips with them during our family vacation, and our guide Jack was fantastic every single time.  What really stood out was how well Jack worked with our whole family — my wife, my 18-year-old daughter, and even my 5-year-old son. Guiding a group with that wide an age range isn’t easy, but Jack kept everyone engaged and having fun, whether it was helping my son cast his first line or giving my daughter tips to improve her technique. He was patient, knowledgeable, and clearly loves what he does.  By the third trip it felt less like a guided outing and more like fishing with an old friend. If you’re planning a family fishing trip in Crested Butte, ask for Jack — he made the whole experience memorable for all of us. Highly recommend!  Josh. 7/18/26

Crested Butte Angler;  Good morning.  What a great time on the water!  Kerry was a great guide and was very patient instructing us on the techniques of fly fishing.  He was very helpful helping my buddy out who has never fished before and that was awesome.   The scenery was great and what a great day.  This was the second brown caught. i will definitely come back and use Kerry again!  Ed 5/26

We had an excellent day on the water. A lot of action between 10:30 and 2:00. We switched between a dry dropper rig and dry fly only depending on the stretch of water and hatch activity. Saw caddis, drakes and PMDs hatching in that timeframe. Brought a lot of nice browns in the 14-17 range to net as well as some smaller fish. One really nice rainbow. Everything we caught looked very healthy. I did hook two big browns but unfortunately did not get them in the boat. A fun day with Joey. Jim 6/9/26
