Our wade trips are fun, educational, and revolve around instruction.  The Crested Butte area has a wide variety of fly fishing options with small streams, tailwaters, freestone rivers, backcountry lakes, and reservoirs to fish.  The Crested Butte backcountry has rainbows, browns, brookies, and cutthroats with miles of trout water to explore.  We assess client abilities and needs to match up the correct fishing location.  The majority of our wade trips take place on the East and Gunnison Rivers.  Crested Butte Angler guides can accommodate large groups or the solitary angler.  We have guides who truly enjoy teaching kids and families.  We welcome first time anglers to try something new as wade trips are the best way to learn fly fishing.  The majority of our wade trips meet at the shop between 8-9 am.  We typically recommend half day trips, which are four hours on the water.

What's included?  Our wade trips include everything - professional guide,  waders/boots, terminal tackle, rod/reel, and flies.

What's not included? Colorado fishing license, transportation, and gratuities.

What to bring? Appropriate layers, hat, polarized sunglasses, snack, sun protective clothing, sunblock, rain jacket, and Colorado fishing license.
